According to the "Statistical Bulletin of the People's Republic of China on the 2007" by National Bureau of Statistics of China on February 28, 2008: at the end of 2007, China has a population of 1,321.29 million, a net increase of 6.81 million than that at the end of 2006. There are 15.94 million births in 2007, a crude birth rate of 12.10 per thousand , and 9.13 million deaths, a crude death rate of 6.93 per thousand. The natural growth rate was 5.17 per thousand. The sex ratio at birth was 120.22.
